This presentation defines information quality and give a  brief history starting with the data warehousing movement of the 1980's.

It also discusses the current state of information quality and makes four predictions for emerging trends ：

1) The increasing scope of data governance

2) The transformation of customer relationship management

3) The adoption of Big Data technology as the norm for IT

4) The growth cloud computing
